Welcome!
I'm a small Western Hognose breeder out of Gainesville, FL

Heterodon nasicus or, Western Hognose snakes are a diurnal North American species with a natural range extending from southern Canada to the central United States.
This snake is probably best known for its many harmless defensive tactics which are often accompanied by a loud hiss and flattening of their body.
These snakes are sexually dimorphic (meaning, males and females exhibit a distinct difference in size), and can vary between 12" and 36". Males tend to be on the smaller side, and in captivity, hognose snakes can live up to 18 years.
